This video is scary!
Currently, our freedom and rights including the Second Amendment right to bear arms have legislation threats from our own government. But this video provided by the NRA shows that anti-gun politics and organizations here in the United States are not the only evil lurking to destroy American rights. There are other countries in alliance with the UN and a evil organization called IANSA that want to take away our right to defend or home and family.
It is wrong that so many have given the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom, The Constitution of The United States and the Bill of Rights. Currently we have troops in hostile environments fighting in wars putting their lives on the line to defend freedom. How can we, as Americans, stand by and watch as our rights are being subjected to deterioration! As our troops are over in distant lands fighting for our rights, we not only owe them our support. We also owe it to them and those who have fought before them to defend those very same freedoms from the enemy here in our own country. Americans here on the home front were given the right to keep and bear arms by the founders of our great country. It is also written that that right shall not be infringed. However, now has come the time when we must stand up and let our voices be heard. Today with the threats at hand that want to take away those very same rights, it becomes our responsibility to defend those rights and our freedom.
So, in this post I have presented to you a problem, but I also want to provide you some solutions.

In fact, I have started a collection of pages that I have found and would like to share with my readers.

Today’s link is to a very large and popular blog site with many contributors called Blog Critics Magazine. I mean this site is huge! However, today we will be exploring the culture section where Frank Giovinazzi of Car Buyer’s notebook made a post entitled Harley Davidson – How Do I Hate Thee. Its a rather small post in itself where Frank gives out 11 reasons  why he hates Harley Davidson and the dweebs (as he refers to them) who ride them. The post was made in may of 2003 and only contains 243 words, but to this day the Post still gets traffic and has currently 1745 comments with the last comment being made as of this post at 16:36 on January 12th. That was yesterday in case nobody is paying attention…. this post has been read and commented on for going on 5 years now.

I have to hand it to Frank for making this post. Fact may even be that the man owns a Harley. But whether he does or not is not what it is all about. It is about the controversy that was created by him making the post. The post about hating Harley Davidson that has almost created a meeting hole on the web where people get together on a semi-regular basis to kick sand at each other on everything motorcycle related from helmet laws to owning American vs metric motorcycles.  How ingenious of Mr. Giovinazzi.

If you are not going to Daytona for bike week, you can check in on what is going on 27/7. You can also wave to your friends at home from these cams and get them to take a screen capture for you like the one above. These web cams are a great way to check the weather and crowd conditions as well.

I first featured the art work of David Camp back in January 06 on my bike week site with a great piece of work called “American Still“. David’s work is amazing. I have seen the original picture that this piece of art below was drawn by.

Choose your ride

Brian Green, the individual who modeled for this work, is a TSgt with the USAFR 419 Fighter Wing at Hill AFB in Utah. In this scene, he sits upon his 04 Road King custom in front of an F-16 fighter aircraft that he supports. The title for this piece, “Choose Your Ride”, reflects the idea that Brian would never turn down the chance to fly in the F-16 but he prefers riding his bike through the mountains of the southwest and furthest reaches beyond more than anything else.
He’s a dedicated airman who has served his country well. At his first assignment, he was involved in the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Dahran, Saudia Arabia. He was awarded the commendation for valor medal when he saved the life of another severely wounded airman. As a result of the bombing, Brian himself was wounded and refused medical treatment.
Later, he served in Bahrain, Saudia Arabia, Prince Sultan Air Base and Kuwait Al-Jabbar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2001.
Some rides he’s embarked on include, Salt Lake City, Utah to Las Vegas, San Francisco, Texas and twice to Sturgis. His dedication to his country as well as to his hog is exemplary.

Yea, I was reading the Biketoberfest issue of East Coast Rider. I guess that’s not to far behind, considering the mag came out in October!

Any way, I found a interview in the paper about half way in with the guy that runs the B.F.F.A.R., that is Bikers For First Amendment Rights. Looks like a pretty respectable organization, check out their web site.

So, I found myself reading the online B.F.F.A.R. newsletter, which was also from October. Guess I am not the only one running a little behind. I found this story on the last page of the newsletter and felt I would like to share it with you

Semper Fi

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed his mission in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked at the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if your are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.”
The lecture room fell silent. You could have heard a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God, I am still waiting.”
 

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair went up to the professor and cold cocked him, knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.
 

The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked”What the hell is the matter with you? why did you do that?”
 

The Marine calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid crap and act like a butt….So he sent me.”

This has proved to be quite time consuming, but I intend on having a complete Daytona Motorcycle Rally site that will cover all aspects of the two events. Currently I am adding a photo gallery on both the Bike Week and Biketober edition of the site. The new photo galleries allow visitors to add their event pictures too.

I have maintained a comprehensive travel section that will help future visitors to easily locate event hotel accommodations at Internet discount prices. Motorcycle event hotel accommodations are easily found using our online hotel reservation system. Visitors will be able to easily find the best hotel rates in the Daytona Beach and surrounding area.
