The right to blog The right to Speak The right to know

Posted in Announcements, Blogs, Editorial, Internet, Investigative Reports, Journalism, Links, News, Politics, Radio on January 21st, 2007

There are a lot of things going on in Congress and the Internet blogosphere right now that you need to know about. The Bill of Rights and Constitution of the United States are under attack! There are members of congress that want to amend laws that were put in place to govern and protect the rights of the people of the United States.

Earlier this week a poorly drafted proposal was turned down that would require bloggers that write about political issues to register as a lobbyist if their blog received more than 500 views a day. Section 220, would have required certain people engaged in “grassroots lobbying” to register with the government or face civil and criminal penalties, including up to 10 years in prison.

The S.1 Bill titled A bill to provide greater transparency in the legislative process was approved 96-2 with the amendment that removed section 220 from the bill. Senator Rob Bennett (Utah), the amendment’s sponsor, remarked “Let’s reaffirm that the zenith of the Bill of Rights is free speech, the right to petition your government for redress of your grievances, and the right to peacefully assemble, all of which are involved in grassroots lobbying and none of which should be criminalized,” the senator said in a floor speech introducing his proposal earlier this week.

The bill as it stood was noted as “massive” and section 220 seemed to be cleverly disguised within the large amount of words. However, Mark Fitzgibbons who runs the site opposing the legislation that included section 220 of bill S. 1 along with a broad range of groups including the ACLU, the Free Speech Coalition, the Traditional Values Coalition and National Right To Life said it would hurt their own groups’ abilities to influence Congress and place unreasonable restrictions on Internet politicking.

Section 220 of bill S.1 was stripped from the bill and rightfully so. It was not properly drafted and the language of the proposal was unclear and confusing. Our First Amendment rights being threatened in this form is real and needs to be monitored for protection.

Another proposal that is being circulated in an attempt to create a bill would effect the Constitution of the United States in a big way. There are those who would like to amend the constitution to allow foreign-born person to run for president! This should raise concern with all of us.

Article ll Section 1 clause 5 of the United States Constitution bars foreign usurpers form becoming President. The Founders of our country forged Clause 5 of the first Section of Article II of the Constitution to protect America from a foreign-born President holding dual or treacherous alliances with other countries.

By now you are asking, who would want to change the Constitution so that a foreign-born person could be president? Why would they want any person that was not born in the United States to hold the highest position of our government, the President of the United States? But wait there’s more! Who is the person that these people would like to see President? His father was a SS nazi officer. He has publicly stated that he has dreamed of being a dictator and that he admires Hitler. This man is currently in office as Governor!

WHO? Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah; Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Huntington Beach; and Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., proposed the amendment to the Constitution to allow immigrants to become president after being citizens for 20 years.

WHY? To amend the Constitution of the United States to allow foreign-born persons to become President. The people above would like to see the current Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Jennifer Granholm, Governor of Michigan run for president. Both are foreign-born, both already hold an office.

This is not new news, Alex Jones has been talking about this and created a web site called Arnold Exposed, this site not only tells about the proposed amendment, it also shows many things about Schwarzenegger you would have never dreamed of. Alex Jones is a hard hitting investigative journalist that has made people stop and think watching his fact finding documentaries. Alex is probably best know for his 911 conspiracy theory and documentary, but he doesn’t stop there.

Take a look at the information that I have provided for you, please. Make your own decision by what you see, hear and learn in these videos and web pages. I am not trying to point to any particular party or platform in this post. It is my goal simply to inform my readers and let everyone make up their own mind by what they learn.

You have the right to know!

Did Billy Lane win $50,000 and was there an interview?

Posted in Brevard County, Chopper Builders, Editorial, Entertainment, Florida, Media, Melbourne, Opinion, Radio on December 8th, 2006

I have received many letters asking about these two questions. I will address them one at a time.

Did Billy Lane win $50,000.00 throwing a football at a college game?

Yes! But NOT the chopper builder Billy Lane. This billy Lane lives in Oklahoma, he is an aircraft mechanic, has a wife and two kids. This man won the 50 grand by throwing a football into a hole in a giant Dr. Pepper can during halftime at a “big 12 conference game”.

The deal was, the contestant, Billy Lane would receive $10,000.00 for each time he hit the hole in the Dr. Pepper can and had 10 tries at it. Mr. Lane hit the hole in the can 5 times winning $50,000.00. So, I guess the answer to this question would be yes and no.

Was there an interview with Billy lane on the Scott Ferrall show?

This question is a puzzle in itself. I found out about this alleged interview from a comment of a blog visitor and did a post about it here. Why would Billy Lane do such an interview? Moreover, why would he “tell all” to a sports commentator on Sirius Radio! Scott Ferrall only lead to this type of interview would be because he is on the Howard Stern show.

Any way, I have emailed the Scott Ferrall show and Sirius Radio about the interview and have received no response form either party. The Sirius Radio Billy Lane interview never happened to the best of my knowledge. If anyone can prove any different, your comment and proof is welcome.

Scott Ferrall claims Billy Lane will tell whole story only to him

From the Scott Ferrall web site:

Rick, a visitor to the site has told me in a comment to the post Billy Lane represented by Corporate Attorneys in civil suit that there was to be a interview.

I have sent an email to Scott to confirm the interview.

Shannon Burke on Real Bike

Shannon Burke parks the Real Bike at Destination Daytona

The weather was great for a motorcycle ride on May 13th the date set for the WTKS 104.1 Real Ride with host Shannon Burke of the Shannon Burke Show.

Cindi and I got to the WTKS studios around 11:00, a little late considering the ride was to leave at 12:00. We started out early enough from Melbourne, but because this was our first trip to this location, I got lost.

Looking around, it looked like a pretty good turn out for a first time ride event. I was in a hurry to find out some information on the best way to cover the ride and get some good pictures, so I asked who was the event coordinator. I was told his name was Jeff Wagstaff and pointed in his direction. Talking to this jerk was a total waste of time for photo journalist trying to map out an event. This guy tells me he is going to have Interstate 4 closed down and there was no way I would be able to get my car next to the group to take pictures. In complete disbelief in the way this guy treats the media and that he would be able to accomplish shutting down an interstate, I went to talk to one of the FHP officers to get some ideas. It was suggested that I leave ahead of the group and shoot from a top one of the Interstate 4 overpass bridges. Sounded good to me. The only option I had since this so called event coordinator had the power to shut down a US Highway. Oh yea, and when I questioned Wagstaff about it, he says “watch me”.

Real Ride on Interstate 4

The Real Ride heads up I4

As you can see by this picture, Mr. Wagstaff was not as almighty as he might wish. The Interstate was not closed, instead the real ride was escorted to their destination by the Florida Highway Patrol. Here you can see the leaders of the pack riding behind the escort of the FHP and the Destination Daytona trucks. Heading up the ride was, of course, talk show host Shannon Burke on the Real Radio chopper with Dirty Jim of the Monsters of the Morning show and his wife next to him. Dirty Jim was riding Shannon’s custom screaming eagle Harley-Davidson, so I am sure that he wanted to keep a close eye on him. Especially since a few days previous the Monsters had an unplanned burnout contest between Drunky the Bear on the Real Radio Chopper and Dirty Jim on Shannon’s bike. The skit was suddenly called to an end after Drunky dropped the chopper in the lot of JZ Riders in Sanford, Florida.

Following the leaders included Bruce Rossmeyer owner of Daytona Harley-Davidson and Destination Daytona, Daniel Dennis, SBK ( Soul Brother Kevin), Drunky the Bear and other radio show personalities which I show below.

After taking a few shots from the Interstate overpass, We tried to take a back road to catch up with the ride. Unfortunately, we caught them just as the final few bikes were pulling into Destination Daytona to park for the festivities.
