Site updates at the Mike Odom blog

Hello Readers,
I have decided to use a different software for my blog. Although the current b2evolution works well, it has some issues and does not have the benefits of Word Press.

I am currently changing the software over to the Word Press post by post. If you want to have a sneak preview of what the site will look like check it out here.

There is supposed to be a way to move the database form on to the other, I just don’t think it will work. I want to try to keep the links and pages (including comments) in tack.

However, you may notice some outage and dead links in the next few hours or days. I will try to get the site back up and running with the new software installed by Monday. Be sure to check it out. I will be releasing another exclusive article (hopefully) on Monday as well.

Mike what is better in WordPress then B2evolution? I am interested because I am paying some big bucks to have my Blog customized and don’t want to waste my money on a platform that is not good! Let me know!

      Thanks,
      Norm

I would not say that there is any thing wrong with B2evolution, I just feel that Word Press is better to suit my needs.

      But seriously.
I was so glad to see this blog come up after this installation. You do not know what kind of thoughts go through your mind as you push the delete button on months of work!
I closed my eyes and clicked the button saying “it’s showtime folks” kind of scarey. But the outcome is rewarding.
Now that it is Word Press is installed, I can begin to play with the new features and designs.

So feedback? How does it look? feel? easier to read and use?
      I hope so : )

One will get used to it. The old way was fine. I am always in a state of confusion when it comes to the computer…I guess everyone will learn as we plug away. Yes..it does look good. I do not think anybody had trouble reading the site the way it used to be. All the comments attest to that fact. Good luck. Glad it worked for you when you pushed delete. One can see how much work you have put in this site. I am glad that you did not lose any of your work.
