Get out and vote

It seems too often that when someone is speaking about what is wrong with the way things are in America or what needs to be changed, that person did not vote!

Quite simply folks, if you did not vote, it is not your place to speak out on issues that need change. The reason that our government is so unbalanced and issues are thrown aside, is because of the apathy in our country. The shaping of the government and how this country can be run starts with you and I. I urge all of you to get out and vote today.

Voting is important, but more important is to vote with knowledge. Know your candidates and the issues that are going to be on the ballot. Do a little “digging” into what each of the candidate’s platform is. Check into their past and research their votes on issues that are important to you and your family.

This mid-term election puts Floridians in a great position to see change with the opportunity to vote for a new Governor. Jeb Bush has reached his term limit and there are two new candidates up for the seat. If you have not looked at the two candidates that are running for Governor of Florida, its not too late.

A big issue in the gubernatorial race for Florida is the rumor of Charley Crist being a homosexual. The better part of the homosexual community appears to believe that he is and several people have come forward with last minute statements confirming that he is. The fact that he has denied it does not mean that he is not. If Crist is a homosexual and it comes out after he has been elected, it will only mean another government sex scandal. Crist’s opponent, Independent Max Linn claimed on a Florida radio show that it was “common knowledge in Tallahassee that Crist is gay.” Its sad that this type of statement is taken so lightly. This is a government official currently in office and running for the highest position in the state.

I am not willing to accept a homosexual in any government capacity at all. This is why I urge all to get out and vote. If you want to vote for a homosexual for Governor, that is your right. Rather, if you chose not to vote, you may not have that right in the future.

I for another am not ready for a homosexual to be in any branch of the goverment. I hate to see homosexuals in our armed forces. Would you not hate being on a submarine for several months with a gay bunked next to you?? Being homosexual goes against the bible and just plain goes against nature. I for one did go vote and I did not vote for Charlie Crist. We have heard that expression that somebody looks like a homo……..well Crist fits the description to me. I hope everyone shows up at the polls. Elections are so important and most registered voters do not vote unless it is a presidential election.

      MNO is “QUEER” politically correct?

    3. sandie Says:

I was being a smartass!!!! Queer is a “GOOD” description and much more fitting than “GAY”!!!!!!

    4. Straight Guy Says:

Hard to believe this guy Crist! I don’t even like to word “gay” to describe homosexuals.
The word was created and put to use by the homo community. Better word for them and the
new Florida Governor would be queer.

      AGREED!
I am out the door. I am a late voter. Late as in late afternoon. : )

    6. Mike Odom Says:

      LMAO… you had me wondering?????????

    7. Mike Odom Says:

Not sure if it is politically correct, but they use the term on television. Any way, the visitor Straight Guy has a right to his opinion.
I am not sure that there is or should be a politically correct term for homosexuals. IMHO they have no place in politics. But that is just my opinion.

I am upset that Jeb Bush is so pissed off at a goverment official for calling Miami a third world country. Jeb can speak spanish because his wife taught him to speak her language. Miami is a third world county!!! Look in the Miami Herald. Nearly every single job…..even the menial jobs listed in the employment classified ads want you to be bi-lingual. The population of white americans is dwindling in Miami. We went to Homestead for the NASCAR race in November. We stopped at Peterson’s Harley Davidson in Cutler Ridge and the girl who checked us out could not understand us and we could not understand her. I looked at my husband and we both gave each other that WTF look. PRETTY SORRY!!!!! In a restaurant in Miami the server does not know what you say when you speak English. I think it is a disgrace. This is the United States and we speak” ENGLISH”!!!! People when we get BUSH out of the Governor’s office…..we have a new evil one entering “CRIST”!!! What a world our children have to grow up in. Hopefully someone will still speak English when my grandchildren are born!!!!!!
