Billy Lane arrested on DUI Manslaughter charges in Florida

Billy Lane had a BAC of 0.192 after fatal crash
It appears that the alcohol blood level tests that were taken from Biker Build-Off Winner Billy Lane have come back positive. William D. Lane also known as Billy Lane of Choppers Inc. in Melbourne Florida was arrested today when his BAC test came back reading 0.192. Florida state DUI law allows for alcohol content to be no more than .08.
Billy Lane turned himself in and was charged with DUI Manslaughter in the case related to the fatal accident involving Billy Lane and victim Gerald Morelock on September 4th.
It was reported by witnesses that Billy driving his black Dodge pickup had crossed the double yellow lines attempting to pass two vehicles when he struck and killed motorcyclist Gerald Morelock. Troopers wanted to wait on the test results to return before filing charges and arresting chopper builder Billy Lane.
Services were held for Gerald Morelock on September 17th at the Sebastian Inlet Park where Gerry worked as a park ranger and spent much of his off time fishing. About 60 people showed up on that day to pay their respects and tell stories about Gerry. Gerald Morelock had visited the Sebastian Inlet park in his youth with his family and always wanted to move to the area.
No comments have been published from any of the members of Gerald Morelock’s family since today’s arrest and Billy Lane has remained silent since the day of the tragic crash.
Billy Lane also faces charges of a DUI in North Carolina and is scheduled to appear in court in October 5th for that incident. The Florida DMV site shows that Billy Lanes drivers license is valid. However, in a statement released by the Florida Highway Patrol earlier today, his license is suspended for refusing to take a breathalyzer test during the North Carolina traffic stop for DUI. The FHP also stated that Mr. Lane refused to take alcohol test on the night of the fatal crash. Billy Lane can face up to 15 years per charge if convicted of the charges in the fatal crash.

I thought if your liscence were suspended that you get a letter or something from DMV? I ca’t believe that traffic investigators do not know where exactly the impact happened because there is usually white paint sprayed on the highway….especially where the dead body ended up.

How Ironic.. ya know Bikers hate with a capital ‘H’ (Hate) anyone who hits a Biker and even injures him or her. But for a guy to crash into a motorcyclist and kill him pretty much would end up with some Bikers killing that guy for not being careful with the ever-so vulnerable Motorcycle Driver. If a Biker goes down on a Highway, it’s going to be ugly if not fatal.
Billy, dude… I am sorry for you because you are also ‘dead’ now in that your carreer is over and you are going to jail which is a waste of talent just like Indian Larry’s death. Some of you guys are way too ‘cool’ for life and that is why your lives end early.. I’m sticking with Paul Teutul and his son Paul Junior because they are both grounded in reality and maintain a sense of old-fashioned safety and respect for life.
Rest in Peace Gerald, and Billy you’ll be resting too but not in peace. Sorry for you too Billy. I’ll pray for you and I’ll miss you out here Billy watching you do what I loved so much, building bikes and being a cool guy. I am dissapointed.

Billy has had a drinking problem and now he killed a brother biker. What goes around comes around. You take a life you serve life, in prison.
